CHAPTER 00

Quick Start

Complete a short first-project workflow.

Create a small test project before importing a full novel.

  1. Select New Project, enter a title and a one-sentence premise.
  2. Import outlines and story material through Import or Import Folder. Correct every item marked Needs confirmation before submitting.
  3. In Model Settings, add the provider URL, model name, and API key, run Check Model, then send one short test message.
  4. Confirm the book, volume, arc, and chapter outline levels. The Author Outline is the controlling plan; AI Reference is an editable alternative and never overwrites it automatically.
  5. Ask the writing assistant to expand the current chapter. Review the candidate, then accept, revise, or discard it.
  6. Wait for the chapter to show Saved. Run a local revision on one selected passage, review the patch, and submit a version.
  7. Export the project, reopen the exported result, and inspect chapters, outlines, story data, and graph counts.

For custom execution, save a workflow such as Context → Skill → Model → Review → Patch → Write, then launch it from the writing page. Active nodes, elapsed time, token use, and remaining steps appear in the run card.
