Patch a Selected Passage

1. Select exactly the passage to change.
2. State the problem, desired result, and facts that must remain.
3. Start a polishing or revision task.
4. Read the candidate and open the before/after diff.
5. Verify characters, numbers, times, proper nouns, and selection boundaries.
6. Accept or reject the patch.
7. After acceptance, wait for Saved and use Undo if necessary.

Reject a candidate that touches text outside the selection, changes facts, or broadens the requested scope; then restate the boundary more precisely.
