Export, Back Up, and Move Devices

After exporting selected chapters and format, open the result and sample chapter order, titles, prose completeness, paragraphs, punctuation, and special characters.

Create project backups at meaningful milestones. A backup should include project structure and business data but exclude API keys. Test recovery in an isolated test project: compare the project name, volume/chapter counts, word count, outlines, Story Bible, graph, memory, workflows, and Skills.

For device migration, export the project and prose on the old device, close NovelFlow, preserve the backup, install the same or a newer compatible version on the new device, import, configure model keys again, and finish a full inspection before writing.
